Orton–Gillingham
Hi!
I’m Stephanie, an Orton-Gillingham learning support specialist with extensive experience working with students with mild to moderate learning disabilities and speakers of American English as another Language (ESOL).
I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in ESOL Education (PK–12 licensure) from George Mason University, and a Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law, where I worked with the Children’s Advocacy Center, specializing in Special Education Law.
I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach, a structured, multisensory method for teaching reading, writing, and spelling—particularly effective for students with dyslexia and other reading challenges. For over 20 years, I’ve been teaching and tutoring students across all age groups in special education and ESOL, in both local and international school settings, as well as through one-on-one instruction.
I firmly believe that every student has a unique learning path. My role as an educator is to help each learner identify and embrace their individual learning style to achieve academic success.
As the spouse of a U.S. diplomat, I’ve had the opportunity to live and work in diverse countries including Mexico, Guatemala, North Macedonia, Serbia, Panama, the United States, and currently Brazil.
I am a native speaker of American English, fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, and familiar with Macedonian and Serbian.

"You and your staff provide such a valuable and needed service for many of our students. When there is a question on the Education team, the answer is often… check with Linden. What would we do without you?"
